This focused issue on “Neurological Diseases” is edited by Dr. Wei-Hai Xu, Department of Neurology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing, China.

Dr. Professor Xu is an Associate Professor from Department of Neurology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; Director of the Neuro-ultrasound Laboratory; Member of NSRG Executive Committee of WFN (2013-2017). Professor Xu is one of the pioneers who establish the technique of high-resolution MRI for the evaluations of intracranial atherosclerosis. His interesting area also includes neuro-ultrasound, brain ischemic tolerance, orthostatic hypotension, and MicroRNA regulation in stroke. He has publications in the well-known scientific journals such as Annals of neurology, Stroke, Atherosclerosis, and European Journal of Neurology.
