Dr Kai Zhu graduated from Fudan University, Shanghai, China with MD & PhD degrees. Now he is an attending surgeon in Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University. As a postdoctoral research fellow in Harvard University, he has established a track record of successful and productive research projects in the area of tissue engineering. His research interest is focused on innovative biomaterials for generating artificial devices and tissues for cardiac diseases. Dr Zhu is a member of American Heart Association and Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine. He was recognized as Shanghai Chenguang Scholar in 2014.
