Liankun Ren, MD

Dr. Ren obtained MD degree at Peking Union Medical College in 2005. He did postdoc research at Mayo Clinic, and studied neuropathology and neurophysiology in Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School as well as Japan National Epilepsy Center as visiting scholar. 

Dr. Ren is the associate professor of China-Japan Friendship Hospital. He is committee member of epilepsy disease of Neurologist Association in CMDA and China Association Against Epilepsy (CAAE) council, member of the standing committee of EEG and neurophysiology in CAAE, of Beijing Association Against Epilepsy council and of EEG and neurophysiology in Beijing Medical Association. He is also Peer reviewer of several international journals. Dr. Liankun specialized in diagnosis and treatment in epilepsy. Currently, he focused on the preoperative evaluation of intractable epilepsy with cutting edge approaches. He observed and named a novel electrophysiological phenomenon that provides new insights into diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy. Also, he is interested in probing the mechanism of seizure, and the cognitive processing by term of multi-scale electrode recording and neuroimage. These original research results have been published on Annals of Neurology , Neurology.
