Jing Ma, MD, PhD
Harvard Medical School/Harvard School of Dental Medicine Boston, United States.
Dr. Ma is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. Over the past 20 years, her research interest has been focusing on genomic, proteomic and metabolomics biomarkers and prognostic risk factors in cancer causality, pathways, and prevention. These risk factors and biomarkers could also help identify high risk populations for targeted cancer prevention, screening and intervention. Dr. Ma has been PIs of several grants funded by NIH, DOD and other funding agents including the Project 3 “Energetic factors, lethal prostate cancer, and survivorship” in the Harvard Transdisciplinary Research in Energetics and Cancer (TREC) Center and the “Metabolomic Footprints of Lethal versus Indolent Prostate Cancer”. She is also co-investigators of several NIH sponsored large cohort consortiums, such as the “Breast and Prostate Cancer Cohort Consortium (BPC3)”, the “Colorectal Cancer Genome Wide Association Studies” and the NIH-IARC “One-carbon metabolism biomarker and lung cancer risk”.
Dr. Ma is the author of 171 peer review publications in the main scientific journals including: Lancet Oncol., J Natl Cancer Inst., J Clin Oncol., Cancer Prev Res., Cancer Res., Nat Rev Cancer, Br J Cancer, Gastroenterology, Hum Mol Genet, Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev., Circulation, Stroke, Am J Clin Nutr., Pharmacogenetics, Sleep, N Engl J Med., JAMA, and Science.
