Dirk Roggenbuck, MD, PhD
Hon. Professor of Molecular Diagnostics and Quality Management, Institute of Biotechnology, Faculty Environment and Natural Sciences, Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany
Dr. Roggenbuck was born in Gotha, Germany, in 1965. He graduated in medical biochemistry from the Russian State Medical University (formerly Second Medical Institute) in Moscow in 1992. In the same year he received the license to practice medicine (MD). In 1994 he obtained a PhD degree in Immunology at the Humboldt-University Berlin, Universitätsmedizin Charité Berlin. After postgraduate studies in molecular biology at the Institute of Biochemistry, Universitätsmedizin Charité Berlin, he used to work as a senior scientist at Dr. Fooke Laboratorien GmbH, Germany. In 1997, he joined the MEDIPAN DIAGNOSTICA GmbH, Germany, as R/D Manager. Currently, he works as managing director of GA Generic Assays GmbH, Germany and MEDIPAN. In 2011, he became a senior lecturer at Lausitz University of Applied Sciences, Senftenberg, Germany. In 2012 he was appointed Honorary Professor of Molecular Diagnostics and Quality Management at the same University, now Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg. He is a member of the German Society of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Roggenbuck has published over 120 papers related to autoimmunity in inflammatory bowel diseases and emerging assay techniques for autoimmune diagnostics. Dr. Roggenbuck received several prizes for his research.
