Gerasimos Siasos is an Associate Professor of Cardiology and the Division Chief of the Laboratory of Atherosclerosis at University of Athens Medical School, Hippokration General Hospital. He holds the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston MA.
Dr Siasos has been involved in the field of atherosclerosis for over 15 years. He has published more than 200 papers in highly respected peer review journals, with more than 5000 references in the literature. His research work is focusing on biomarkers in cardiovascular disease, vascular function with an emphasis on the mechanisms of atherosclerosis progression.
Dr. Siasos has also received a number of awards both domestic and international (including American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award).
