Dr. Saurabh Chattopadhyay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, USA. Before joining the University of Toledo, he worked at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine as Project Staff and Assistant Professor. He received his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and did his postdoctoral fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, USA. Chattopadhyay laboratory is investigating how the interferon system protects against virus infection. In this context, Dr. Chattopadhyay has been studying how a key transcription factor Interferon Regulatory Factor 3 (IRF3) inhibits viral replication in cells and mice. Dr. Chattopadhyay is recipient of Boltzmann Award from European Cytokine Society and Milstein Young Investigator Award from International Society of Interferon and Cytokine Society.
