Jian Xu, MD, PhD (Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine)

Dr Jian Xu is a qualified surgeon of Sports Medicine Department of the first affiliated hospital of Shenzhen University, China. He is also an assistant professor of Shenzhen University and mainly focuses on the field of Biomechanics and Anatomy in Orthopaedic field. He is concentrated in carrying out and developing research regarding translational medicine in orthopaedic field.

He received his PhD degree in Orthopaedics at Fudan University, Shanghai, China and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He is now working as an

Orthopedic attending doctor in his department with several years of experience.

He was the visiting fellow at the Biomechanics lab of University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and learnt biomedical engineering technique there. Dr Jian Xu is currently a member of ISAKOS (International Arthroscopy-Knee Surgery-Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Association), a member of the Guangdong Province Shoulder and Elbow Surgery training base and a young member of the Chinese edition of the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

He has published or coauthored more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and he is also a reviewer of many scientific journals. He also received many grants from the government.
