Dr. Zhenli Li, 25 years old, received his Bachelor’s degree at the Second Military Medical University in 2016. He is currently a MD candidate under the supervisor of Prof. Mengchao Wu in Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, Second Military Medical University. He is also a visiting scholar at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS).
His research includes structural design of mesoporous silica and novel nanomaterials for theranostic applications of hepatocellular carcinoma, focusing on early diagnosis and novel therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma, on the basis of highly effective biomarkers and biomaterials.
In 2018, his original article as the first author entitled “Surface Nanopore Engineering of 2D MXenes for Targeted and Synergistic Multitherapies of Hepatocellular Carcinoma” was published on Advanced Materials, and was chosen as the Cover Article.
He is an official combined member of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) and Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (A-PHPBA). His research article entitled “Impact of Surveillance on Long-term Survival of Hepatitis B Patients with Resectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma” was chosen as the Oral Presentation in the Congress of 6th A-PHPBA, Yokohama, Japan, 2017.
He has published articles on journals such as Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and he is also a reviewer of several scientific journals.
