Dr. Murphy is a currently a clinical imaging fellow in Brigham and Women’s Hospital & Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated medical school from University College Dublin, Ireland and completed residencies in internal medicine and radiology in St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland followed by clinical fellowships in cardiovascular and thoracic imaging in Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Massachussets.

He has a special interest in cardiothoracic imaging, particularly cardiac CT, cardiac MRI and quantitative MRI in thoracic malignancy, and has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on these subjects. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in London and of the Faculty of Radiologists, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and is a member of a number of scientific and professional societies including the Radiology Society of North America, European Society of Radiology and the European Society of Thoracic Imaging.
