Martina Montagnana, MD

Prof. Martina Montagnana was born in Verona (Italy) on January the 23th, 1977. He has taken the degree in Medicine in 2002 and the specialization in Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine in 2008. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Verona (Italy) and assistant in the Clinical chemistry and hematology Laboratory of the University Hospital of Verona (Italy).

As regards the scientific activity, he has published more than 300 articles in peer-reviewed journals, his total Impact Factor is over 900 and the Hirsch Index (H-index) is 36. He has participated to more than 100 national and international congresses and has given more than 50 lectures to national and international meetings. Martina Montagnana is also member of the editorial board of Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis and of Emergency Care Journal.

The main areas of research include pre-analytical variability, analytical and clinical validation of biomarkers, clinical molecular biology, oncology, cardiovascular and personalized medicine.
