Dr. Wijarnpreecha completed his medical school training from Chiang Mai University with Honors in 2013. He came to the United States in 2015 and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Bassett Medical Center affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in Cooperstown, New York. Dr. Wijarnpreecha has published more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed original articles, editorials, and reviews. Dr. Wijarnpreecha has contributed research into the field of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Dr. Wijarnpreecha has received a number of academic awards and honors including the 2016 American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Emerging Liver Scholar, 2017 AASLD Resident/Fellow Ambassador, 2017-2018 Young Investigator Bursary from European Association for the Study of the Liver-The International Liver Congress (ILC), and recently been awarded The 2018 E. Donnall Thomas Resident Research Award in recognition of outstanding research for a resident at Bassett Medical Center in 2018.
