These nodules could be malignant and pose a diagnostic challenge. Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery and robotic-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (RATS) represent minimally invasive methods for tissue sampling. Intraoperative identification of these lesions maybe difficult, requiring marking prior to surgery.
