Dr. Federico Canavese was born in Torino, Italy. He moved to Montpellier, France to complete his training under the guidance of Professor Alain Diméglio. He subsequently completed a three years Pediatric Orthopedic training session between the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, USA and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. He then worked at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland with Professor André Kaelin and completed a PhD in Animal Pathology at the Universities of Bologna and Udine, Italy where he studied thoracic and lung growth and effects of spinal arthrodesis on neural elements.
