The editorial office of Annals of Translational Medicine (ATM) is pleased to announce that, effective June 2019, Dr. Yinghao Sun (Figure 1) will be taking over as the co-Editor-in-Chief in tandem with Dr. Xuehao Wang and Dr. Jianxing He.

Dr. Yinghao Sun is a Chief Physician, PhD Supervisor, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Chief Scientist of 973 programs, and the winner of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award. He is currently the President of the Second Military Medical University, and he is the Director of the Department of Urology. He is also the Director of the Research Institute for Prostatic Disease of the PLA, and the Director of Changhai da Vinci Robotic Surgery Training Center. Dr. Sun specializes in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research of urological tumors and urolithiasis, as well as practice and innovate techniques for minimally invasive urological techniques.

We are excited to have Dr. Sun in the position to build on the work of past editors and to add brilliance to ATM, and for the journal to reach new heights. We believe that the journal will achieve a higher standard and greater prestige under the leadership of Dr. Sun. Please join us in wishing him all the best in his new role!
