Multi-drug therapy in breast cancer: are there any alternatives?

Targeted drug discovery in cancer research received a paradigm shift in the post-human-genome sequencing era. Identification of novel drug targets by utilizing several ‘-omics’ searches, followed by validation or understanding the mechanism of action of novel drugs by implementing genome editing technology has been considered as one of the major routine practices in the field of drug discovery nowadays.
